The first step in our approach is to have a 15 minute complimentary conversation on the phone with you to establish how our approach will be beneficial to your child.
We’ll gain an understanding of your child’s strengths and their challenges, and give you some information and ideas on how we can assist your child in their needs.
If The School OT is the right fit, and our waitlist allows, then the onboarding documentation will be emailed to parents for completion.
60 Minute Parent Consultation
$130.00
The second step in our approach is to have an online video conversation to discuss the completed onboarding documentation, gain a wider understanding of your child’s needs, and set goals and expectations for your child’s success.
These sessions are often completed in the evenings (when children are in bed) to ensure minimal distraction. This session is for parents only, so we can speak freely about your child’s needs.
From here, we can make a time to meet with your child and deliver a home based assessment.
Initial Assessment and Report
$350.00
The third step in our approach is to meet with your child and your family in your home. This allows us to establish a relationship with your child, understand everyone’s goals, and discover some approaches that might suit.
In this session, we’ll also familiarise ourselves with your child’s likes and dislike, their interests, and get to know them a little better.
The pricing for this session includes all travel, assessments, collation and interpretation of assessment findings, and a concise outcome report.
Assessment will take approximately 2 hours to complete.
Sensory Profile 2
$250.00
The Sensory Profile 2 is a standardised assessment tool to evaluate a child’s sensory processing patterns and preferences across various sensory areas, including auditory, visual, tactile, olfactory, proprioceptive, and vestibular.
It provides valuable insights into how a child responds to sensory stimuli in everyday life.
This information guides intervention strategies, such as a sensory diet, and support individuals in achieving optimal participation in daily activities.
Comprehensive Report
$500.00
A comprehensive report provides a thorough overview for parents, educators, and other healthcare professionals involved in the child's care and is best practice to guide therapy intervention.
The report will include detailed assessments findings of the child's fine and gross motor skills, reflexes, sensory processing, visual perception and social/behavioral interactions.
Specific goals and recommendations for interventions will be outlined to support the child’s development and participation in daily activities.
Weekly 1-on-1 School Sessions
$130.00
We deliver our weekly 1-on-1 individualised sessions at your child’s school, tailoring our bespoke sessions to fit specifically to your child’s goals.
These sessions require 50 minutes of your child’s week, where they will come to a private office space so we can focus on their requirements without interruption.
We ask each child for a commitment on a term-by-term basis so we can structure plans around this timeframe.

Online Review

While we are happy to provide feedback via email, it is important to reflect and review your child’s occupational therapy involvement so we can see what they have achieved, and what we may still need to focus on.
This 30 minute online session is vital to ensure that any questions you have may be answered, and any changes to your child’s progress can be discussed or modified.
Progress Report
$130.00
This is a concise report, which will include results and findings from the re-assessment of the child's current functional abilities. Areas of improvement will be highlighted, along with areas (if any) which still require intervention.
